Our founder Hamish moved to the UK from New Zealand in 2004, and 5 years later, he opened a local neighbourhood café & restaurant. After witnessing the staggering amount of waste produced by just one small establishment for 7 years, he knew it was time to throw in his apron and don his eco warrior cape. That's how ecoKiwi was born!

Hamish's vision was to create planet-friendly products that could replace disposable and plastic-based alternatives. We're thrilled to announce that as of December 2022, we have partnered with Carbonfund.org, and all our cedar products are now carbon neutral, alongside our 1% for the Planet pledge. We see this as a small cost of doing business and using the planet's resources. However, this is just the beginning of our eco journey, so stay tuned for more exciting initiatives from ecoKiwi!
